Welcome to Jane Alcock Counselling
A calm, supportive space for you to share your concerns
Thank you for visiting my website.
Are you looking for help with a particular issue you're struggling with, such as anxiety, or do you feel lost and need help to make sense of things in your life? Talking to friends or family may be difficult at times like this and it can be helpful to talk to a trained professional.
I also specialise in working with parent-carers of children/adults with additional needs.
Benefits of Counselling
Counselling provides an opportunity to explore personal difficulties in a safe, confidential and supportive environment.
I believe we all have the potential within ourselves to change and become better versions of ourselves; counselling, with the connection between the client and therapist at its heart, helps to unlock this process. It can result in more helpful thinking and behaviour patterns, resolution of difficulties, increased self-confidence and improved relationships.
I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
How we would work together
Please note: During the Covid-19 pandemic I am currently only working online or by phone until further notice.
I normally work with individual adults online/by phone, or in a confidential home setting in West Meon, which sits between Winchester and Petersfield in Hampshire (with free parking).
I also offer walk and talk therapy (counselling that is conducted whilst walking outdoors) - or a combination of any of the above - whichever works for you!
I understand that you might be nervous about starting therapy and choosing a counsellor so, to help you to get a sense of what therapy is about and how I might help you, I offer a free, no-obligation consultation. This consultation can be done by phone or online during the current restrictions.
I offer a limited number of evening and weekend appointments.
